Originally thought to have been a carnosaur or spinosaur. Many fossils previously assigned to this animal have turned out to be other species.

I wouldn't call this a slaughter at all. Modern hippos are extremely dangerous and formidable animals, and a giant one would be even moreso.
I favor Chilantaisaurus here due to superior agility and stamina, but it is by no means predator prey.

hippos are not really easy to injure. thick skin and fat layer provide great protection, but the dino can run circles around it.

^Another reason why this isn't a slaughter, hippos are quite durable too.

Chilantaisaurus is slightly lighter than Hippopotamus gorgops, but it can still have agility and claws on its side for victory.
