The spotted hyenas even in large packs fears the male lions.

They do fear them in non-fights. But in a deathmatch I'd back the hyenas for sure - the numbers are probably too much.

The hyenas massively outnumber the lions here, and with the ability to bite through bones, they are much more dangerous here.

However, surprisingly even a large pack would flee from a male lion in general. Spotted hyena packs will not hesitate to attack lionesses if they outnumber them three to one.

Well you do have a point, IRL lions can repel many many hyenas.
