Purussaurus may have a stronger bite but it's much lighter than Giganotosaurus, which has a height advantage over it.

Giganotosaurus would win on land, I agree. Larger and more agile, as well as better stamina - it could exhaust and overpower the Purussaurus.

Giganotosaurus only weighed 7 tonnes max according to specimens found so far, so I’ll favor the Purussaurus in water. 50/50 on land.

While Giganotosaurus might dominate on land, once the fight goes into water, Purussaurus is the predator that will win.
