The bear still outweighs all the wolves and is much stronger, plus having claws it can use in battle against the wolves.

I guess I'd lean towards the bear too. Larger and more durable, and able to dispatch each wolf when they get close. Likely would not be an easy task however due to the wolves' numbers and agility.

It probably still would be tough, but at least the bear, though injured, would win in the end.

Asiatic black bears are fairly predatory and quite strong. They can fend off full grown tigers

Who'd you back in this match, tigre? If these were North American wolves, this would be an absolute slaughter. If an Indian wolf averages 25, 25x4 100. Even with 4 wolves the bear is bigger. The Asiatic black bear is nothing to scroff at. It can fend off tigers and kill adult water buffalos, horses and takin. I think he can kill 4 at once but it will be extremely hard. Also an Indian wolf is the size of a little girl. I favour the Bear

Good take on it. I do lean towards the bear too.

Yep, if it can fend off a tiger, a much larger predator, wolves don't stand a chance.
