I see no reason to believe that a grizzly would not displace a whole clan of these hyenas as easily as he does a wolf pack.

The running hyena is less robust than the spotted hyena. If an African lion can displace a whole pack of spotted hyenas, surely a grizzly bear can displace three running hyenas.

So is mine. The size and strength and durability of the bear, I think, would help it tank a lot of bites and dispatch each hyena rather easily.

The whole clan of hyenas combined is actually heavier than the bear, but the bear is still a much stronger predator overall, able to utilize its claws in combat with ease.

The whole clan of hyenas combined is actually heavier than the bear, but the bear is still a much stronger predator overall, able to utilize its claws in combat with ease. The grizzly bear is also use to confronting multiple opponents (e.g. wolf pack).
