Excellent thread, I've been lastly very interested in the life of Timothy Treadwell and watched Herzog film about him "Grizzly Man".
Mauling by bear is probably the death I wish the least to know...

Technically, this is not a predatory event, but I think it still fits. Particularly because it shows that the same biting and mauling techniques used for predation are also used for male intraspecific combat.
Also, the old "damn Nature, you scary" motto somehow never seemed more appropriate.
