Supercommunist: I don't see any harm in making another thread and separating it from the one with more hard data. Jul 2, 2025 20:52:04 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: Or do y'all think our current animal speed threads render such a thread redundant? Jul 1, 2025 2:16:53 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: I'm wondering if I should dedicate a thread to guesstimates on animal speed relative to that of other animals. Like, debate and discussion on how fast you think A is/was compared to B and C. Jul 1, 2025 2:16:06 GMT 5

dinosauria101: Thinking of my own documentaries is very very enjoyable! So far I like it a bit more even compared to reviewing documentaries, it's the most fun I've ever had commenting on here.:) Jun 19, 2025 22:19:08 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: I’ll try to post my reply to the WWD 2025 thread later after I come back from work Jun 19, 2025 21:40:17 GMT 5
razor45dino: he recently made a deinonychus video too Jun 12, 2025 5:05:04 GMT 5
Exalt: I also do not. May 17, 2025 21:18:03 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: Oh, well that I definitely don't agree with May 2, 2025 2:55:36 GMT 5
Supercommunist: I disagree with some of his takes. For instance he thinks that large terror birds were largely restricted to smaller prey than themselves. May 1, 2025 9:16:38 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: I've watched a couple videos, and I'm really enjoying his channel May 1, 2025 5:55:13 GMT 5
Supercommunist: Wroe apparently has a youtube channel. www.youtube.com/@realpaleontology/videos Apr 19, 2025 20:52:41 GMT 5
Supercommunist: Didn't see your message until now theropod. Thanks. Mar 1, 2025 15:38:49 GMT 5
theropod: They did have them Feb 19, 2025 22:03:52 GMT 5
Supercommunist: Did rauisuchids have gastralia? I searched but nothing popped up. Feb 13, 2025 16:43:05 GMT 5
Infinity Blade: Apparently there's evidence the moon was volcanic in the Cretaceous: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adk6635 Dec 21, 2024 2:43:10 GMT 5
Supercommunist: That's a good analogy and makes sense. Dec 17, 2024 0:39:22 GMT 5
theropod: On the other hand, your (heavy) bow might be quite capable of shooting a much heavier arrow at almost the same speed, because it can exert enough force to accelerate that arrow close to the speed limit the bow would have anyway, even when "shot dry" Dec 16, 2024 21:29:03 GMT 5
theropod: In that scenario, you can analogize your animal to an arrow, and its strength to a bow with a specific draw weight. Just making the arrow lighter might not necessarily make it faster, beyond some point, because how fast the bow can deform is limited. Dec 16, 2024 21:27:17 GMT 5
