Found a nice grey kitty on the Lost Dogs Home website and I've enquired about adopting him. Got an email to say they've received my enquiry and they'll be in contact with me if my application is successful, though I forgot to mention on the enquiry that I don't want a cat with health issues (the website didn't have any medical info about the cat).

Looks like my application hasn't been successful. Just looked on the website and the grey kitty has 'adoption in progress' on his photo. I haven't received any calls or emails, so it looks like someone else has taken him.

Grey kitty now has "adopted" on his profile. I still haven't received any calls or emails, but I'm not sure how long it takes for the shelter to get in contact with people. Mum says if I haven't heard anything by this weekend, I can do the Kitty Match thing (I tell the shelter what kind of kitty I'm looking for and they match me with a cat.)

So what you're basically telling me is that adopting a pet online is kind of like applying for a job or internship? Waiting for news on an application being accepted and realizing that your application's denial is in the form of a lack of response?
I've never adopted a pet online before, so I wouldn't know.
