Moschops capensis
Resembling a cross between a cow and a frog, Moschops capensis ("Calf face from the Cape") was a tapinocephlian therapisid found in the Karoo of South Africa. It lived during the Permian, in the Wordian-Capitanian stages of the Guadalupian epoch.
Titanosuchus ferox
Titanosuchus ferox ("Fierce Titan crocodile") was a dinocephalian therapsid that lived in the Capitanian stage, Guadalupian epoch in South Africa. Despite the name, it is only related to crocodiles by both being amniotes, in fact it is more closely related to dogs and cats than to any crocodile.
Along with its close relatives Jonkeria and Moschops, Titanosuchus inhabited present-day South Africa around ~260 million years ago, in the Late Permian. Its teeth included sharp incisors and fang-like canines, perfect for biting prey.
