OneZoom is the closest thing to a single, seamless view of the entire tree of life on the Internet. You can literally just zoom in on the tree of life to whatever group you want, and zoom out. It also tells you when certain groups diverged and appeared. It is utterly massive: I'm starting to get a sense of how narrow my interest and expertise on life on Earth is. www.onezoom.org/Here's a paper describing the project. besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/2041-210X.13766Have fun!

That's an awesome tool! It reminds me of AronRa's Phylogeny Explorer Project ( dev2.phylogenyexplorerproject.co.uk/ ), only far handier. I tried to find humans and I found it easy to navigate (it only took me a while after I had already gotten to the primate branch for some reason).
