This isn't a documentary review, but the Kickstarter for Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate was just opened! This documentary is about Arikareean (early Miocene) fauna in North America, centered around Moropus, Daeodon, and others. It is narrated by the one and only Nigel Marven, and is beautifully animated and scientifically rigorous. Oh? That’s a bummer. I thought it was in post-production judging by the trailer. People should realize the quality is worth the high price tag.

Update: as of now it has met a quarter of its goal ($18,855/$75,000). Only time will tell, but maybe it can happen with 23 days left.

Update: as of now it has met a quarter of its goal ($18,855/$75,000). Only time will tell, but maybe it can happen with 23 days left. I think the issue is that the first few days are when most of the money come is. I've really want a daeodon documentary so I been periodically checking on the progess, yesterday afternoon it was around 17k so its only gone up by a thousand dollars. I've tried spreading the word on social media, but unfortunately I don't have much reach. Edit: Actually at the time of writing this comment the kickstater at 19,507 so it's a bit brighter than I thought. |

Any bit helps. Just rein in expectations. Generally speaking, only a tiny fraction of people invest any money or purchase a product after being exposed to an advertisement.

It should help and the most important thing is to help spread the word. I am just speaking from experience. I once tried to advertise a product and although some of the art I commissioned got tens of thousands of reactions, only a tiny fraction of people actually looked the product it was tied too lol. I just snagged the last 70 dollar perk.
