Cyberzoic is a project created by David Silva, the same man behind Beasts of the Mesozoic, a line of scientifically accurate dinosaur figures. Although Cyberzoic also contains scientifically accurate dinosaur (and other prehistoric animal) figures, they are set in a sci-fi setting. In short, you have people riding dinosaurs in futuristic armor fighting alien dragons. Below is the link to the Kickstarter. It's well past fully-funded, but if the basic summary of this project appeals to you, or if you just want an additional source of scientifically accurate prehistoric animal figures, you can chip in here. Personally, I'm still flip-flopping what exact reward I want. I don't want to spend way too much, but at the same time I want as big a reward coming to me as practical, as the rewards are expected to come a whole year from now.

Yeah, I'm dragging my feet a bit. I have a big purchase I want to make, but I'm trying to save money, my birthday is next month, then there's Christmas...
I will likely at least pickup the limited Smilodon. Otherwise I'm going to see how many stretch goals this will actually go to, first, and which ones. The Utahraptor stuff seems cool, and I've had a fondness for that one since elementary school when I learned about it, for some reason.
I feel like he had a pretty good idea in staying with more realistic animals but letting you choose to add the sci-fi stuff or not.
I'm curious as to how the ecology/lore for the dragons will work.
Also, oddly enough, the "Dragon Clan"'s animal/s (the Andrewsarchus is supposedly part of that faction) have both been mammals.

Also, oddly enough, the "Dragon Clan"'s animal/s (the Andrewsarchus is supposedly part of that faction) have both been mammals. My most conservative option is the Kickstarter exclusive Smilodon plus the dragon and the whole Deinonychus set (so Deino+guy+armor). This is currently what I'm pledged for. I'll be getting A) something I can't get any other way, B) something relatively cheap but no less awesome and still encompasses the gist of the franchise, and C) a dragon. It's still a lot, but at least it won't wipe out a week's worth of work for me. And although I got quite a bit saved up, it'll also leave me with a bit more (which can't hurt) for undergrad loans and the wave 3 tyrannosaur series. After all is said and done, I'll steadily build my Cyberzoic collection up from there. There's some art for the Dragon Clan and we see that in addition to being allied with dragons, they also have woolly mammoths. It's definitely still possible that they have their own dinosaurs, but they do seem to be associated with mammals so far.

Can you show me the art in question?

Ohhh. This is what I get for looking at the update on my phone and not thinking to check the art again later. That must be a tall building.
EDIT: I wonder how they get them to behave? Historically, felids and proboscideans are not friends.

So, any thoughts on the reconstructions so far?

So, any thoughts on the reconstructions so far? Of the extinct animals? I think they're pretty gorgeous, I can't name anything obviously bad about them. The big dinosaurs in particular, the Allosaurus, Utahraptor, Dilophosaurus, Achillobator, and Carnotaurus look really good IMO. I wish I could feasibly have them all without wreaking havoc on my wallet, but alas. I am, however, content with the reward I settled on ( Deinonychus set+dragon+Kickstarter exclusive). On another note, I love how the campaign's pledged goal feels like a distant memory. At this point, even without the massive donation made three days into the campaign, it would still have been well past what it needed to become a thing without a doubt. Which is far more than you can say for Mattel's Jurassic World The Gates crowdfund. A real shame, given how their T. rex looked pretty cool, but I'm glad at least one of them got fully funded (and that it was Cyberzoic lol).

I think I like the BOTM Utahraptor look more than the Cyberzoic one. Oddly enough, this is one of the things that lead me to ask why so many Utahraptors share a basic blueprint in terms of color scheme.
I hope that Cyberzoic II has more non-dinosaurs, though.
