Mario! He's carried a castle, flown through space and takes on deadly foes every day!

Um, didn't you once tell me that the vsbattles wiki is an unreliable source?
Unfortunately, their article on Mario is a good reason why.
Due to the cartoonish physics of the games he lives in, I would rate Mario as very inconsistent (and it's obviously not very useful to calculate his energy output in joules). The most parsimonious explanation for the ridiculous things he can do are his verse's absence of any sort of natural law (just look at the size and properties of planets and stars in his verse…) rather than his inherent attributes. It probably also depends on the game we are talking about. Honestly, most of the time, the only explicitly superhuman ability he has is how high he can jump. The things that harm him are clearly meant to represent things that would harm most people (except for the turtles). Honestly, in many games, he can't even survive a high enough fall!

Yeah, I agree with you. It's almost as if Mario's universe flipped everything upside down

Um, yeah, it should be blatantly obvious that black holes and stars do not work the way in our universe which is why their real-life stats can't be used for these sorts of calculations.

? I thought Mario just raced cars! No. His endeavors typically center around saving Princess Peach from Bowser. Even in his debut appearance (he wasn't even called Mario at the time) he's saving a woman from Donkey Kong. The Mario Kart games are just (highly successful) spin-offs intended to be departures from the aforementioned lore.

I've never thought of Mario as anything other than a racer
