I made this thread, because i wonder why Liliensternus has an crest in many reconstructions, even though these crest are not found. Are there strong arguments about it?

I can't think of any, except for basing it on it's relatives.

The crests are indeed just speculation, however other non-dilophosaurid coelophysoids like Megapnosaurus and probably Zupaysaurus showed also crests, so it isn't unlikely that Liliensternus had them, too.

There are no real strong arguments to support a crested Liliensternus, and none to debunk it too.
Without further evidence either way has it's permit.
