GREAT BARRACUDA-Sphyraena barracuda Great barracuda are large fish. The record for a hook and line caught great barracuda is 1.7 meters (5.5 feet), 44 kg (103 lbs) and the species is reported to attain a size of 2 meters, 50 kg. Any barracuda over 4.8 feet (1.5 m) in length can be considered very large. Based on scale analysis of large specimens, great barracuda have a lifespan of at least 14 years. Sexual maturity is reached at a length of about 23 inches (60 cm). At this size, males are typically about two years and females close to four years of age. GIANT MORAY-Gymnothorax javanicus The giant moray is the largest of the Moray eels, in terms of body mass (the slender giant moray is longer). As the name suggests, this is a large eel, reaching up to 300 cm (10.0 ft) in length and 30 kg (66.1 lbs) in weight. While juveniles are tan in colour with large black spots, adults have black specks that grade into leopard-like spots behind the head and a black area surrounding the gill opening.

The moray eel doesn't have good weaponry with it. On top of that, it is slower than the barracuda. I back the barracuda.

The eel has an extendable pharyngeal jaw.
Rear facing fangs similar to a python, on both jaws allow the moray to hold prey very effectively.
The giant moray's body is coated in excretions of mucus that make it slippery and contain toxins.

As for the toxins, is it true that morays can deliver you a wound which doesn't stop bleeding (I have heard that in the Shark Gordon series).

I back the barracuda in open water and the Eel on the reef.

Close fight that depends on environment and timing. On the one hand, the barracuda is incredibly fast in the open water and should be able to grasp the moray eel first and kill it. But the moray eel is also much more flexible and is good at retaliating against attacks, and if it can time its attacks correctly then I think it would stand a good chance. Barracuda 55/45.

They're about the same size and shape. Tie.

Tossup match. The moray has the venom and gripping jaws, while the barracuda's bite is good enough to make up for both of those. Whoever lands a hit first should gain the edge.
