Where do you always find these bear fanatics? Maybe they come from the same nest as the giga fanatics?

This was more of a rhetorical question because I know about yuku and there are few dinosaur fanboys there.

What post is supposed to make me angry? Dakotaraptor: My bad. Actually it shouldn’t surprise me, it’s statistically more likely than male… She posted the following below the old version of my top 13 longest theropods (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLJEME-FrIE): You're a Giga and Mapu fan. There is no 15 m Giga, Giga could barely reach 12 m. 12 m and 5 t being generous, more like to 11 m and 3-4 t, as its skull could barely reach 1.4 m. Mapu's also smaller than that, the largest specimen was a good deal larger than Giga (at 12.2 m and 5-6 t), but not as big as the mighty Carch. Spinosaurus wasn't as long as Carch, and like 2 times smaller. carch was at very least 14,6 m, but even 15 and 16 m are fully feasible, as Carch likely had a long tail. I cannot stop laughing at you. Carch's much larger, is like 2-4 times Giga's and Mapu's size. giga's just 11 m long, 11,5-12 m being generous, while Carch was at very least 15 m (even 16 m is likely actually, as most of the people are Carch's haters). Mapu's like 10-12,2 m, so larger than the whimpy guy (or, how you call it, Giganotosaurus), but much much smaller than the mighty Carch) You're cleary joking, U fanboy. Giga is not even close to 13 m, and you likely used 15 m for the wrong dino: 15 m = Carch, 11 m = Giga, You're among the hundreds of Giga fanboys. Nobody is an unbiased as me. I really didn’t think i’d ever meet someone whose Carcharodontosaurus fangirlism/giganotosaurus hating was as bad as the corresponding fanboyism and hating of Palaeosaurus… Hell, until Me Te turned up, I didn’t even know Carcharodontosaurus fanatics existed! The paralells are remarkable. As with paleosaurus, it’s difficult to decide whether she’s more of a fangirl of taxon A or rather a hater of everything else, and she also seems to always reply with either a litteral copy of what she’s written before, or some oral assault. Well, I don't think that Giganotosaurus haters are uncommon. MisteryMeat from CF seems to hate Giganotosaurus a bit. I saw some of his post, and in one of them he excludes the possibility of Giganotosaurus being the largest Carcharodontosaurid, and in another one he used a 10 % larger Mapusaurus, while using a 2,2 % larger MUPCv-95. MisteryMeat is a great user, he posts a lot of sources, but he seems a little biased. Maybe it's just me.

How many animal vs. animal forums do we need?

No idea, but I have no problem with many existing AVA forums (even though I don't care about most of them). Competition makes all more interesting.

gigadino96: I like MysteryMeat, he’s pretty reliable, and also does good skull reconstructions. I don’t find the use of 102.2% the size of MUCPv-ch1 for MUCPv-95 compelling at all (this is the minimum depth of the dentary, MUCPv-95 is seems proportionately deeper in other places), but I can also understand why he used it. But no, Giganotosaurus haters aren’t uncommon, palaeosaurus is the best example of this. It’s just that a simulataneous Carcharodontosaurus fanboy and Giganotosaurus hater is a rare sight indeed. Usually Giganotosaurus haters are also generally Carnosaur hater (and usually T. rex or Spinosaurus fanboys).

Maybe they are, but this forum is after all also just one of various little AVA boards.

I don't think MysteryMeat would hate Giganotosaurus. He was probably conservative about MUCPv-95. I admit that i used to be a bit biased against Giganotosaurus, because i was tired of fanboys that say it hunted largest dinosaurs or it was 15+ m long with largest skull of any theropods and being much stronger than its relatives. However i have never hated Giganotosaurus and any animal. BTW my old bias was nothing compared to Me Te's one.

I used to be a Giganotosaurus fanboy instead. Here's what I wrote 8 years ago:
...traslated from italian, of course (I was 10 by that time, and I posted it in an italian forum).

This is nothing to be ashamed of, I even believed in the 16 m crap when I was 14! allosaurusatroxFair enough, but the differences to an average AVA forum are not that terribly great.
