Many taxa of male anglerfish lack usable mouthparts or functioning digestive systems. They are effectively female-seeking genitals with noses. Others do have the ability to eat, but I am unsure what…
Why was massive size so strongly selected for in Mesozoic times, but to a much lesser extent now?

Their was a lot more oxygen in the air back then so animals could attain much larger sizes.
Why are big cats so big yet dogs so small?
