Maybe, but that's still a spoiler. I cannot watch it anyway. Can you? No, I can't. It's definitely blocked.

allosaurusatrox: I think I’ve already given my reasons for not wanting scaly theropods. Not only do I indeed think they look ridiculous, it’s also a matter of principle, concerning their attitude towards science. And yes, I am actually focusing on that point more than the point alone would deserve. That’s again a matter of principle. Feathered theropods would send a positive signal, keeping them just as they were constitutes a negative one.

And this is where I must disagree with you, feathered theropods look ridiculous. It would be a breach of continuity if the JP raptors suddenly had feathers.

Looks really cool, even though insecure if the mosasaur looks good or not. There were some mosasaur designs on google images that I liked better.

The production design and from what I could see the animation looks pretty good. Was there supposed to be sound in that trailer?

Love it! Can't wait!
Theropod, all of the dinosaurs having some sort of plumage would result in huge backlash from critics, fans, and the GA. After all it is just a movie

Creature, that was supposed to be a mosasaur? Looked a lot more like a pliosaur to me...

You can see the additionnal teeth on the palate. Mosasaurus was annunced officially since a long.
I guess it is based on the upper size estimate of hoffmanni.

I just recently noticed more mosasaur-like features, but I haven't real read much promotional stuff so I was unsure

^That looked a lot larger than the upper size estimates for M. hoffmanni. That thing they’re feeding it with looks like a white shark. Even if it’s a small one, a shark proportioned like that would be at least 2m long, more likely 3, and that thing’s skull dwarfed it. My guess is that the are making it quite a bit larger than the actual animal.
I like the idea though, the dolphin-show-like setting, but open to a much larger body of water to accomodate for the mosasaur.
PS: Now, there the sound is, and now it also plays smoothly.

Or maybe Horner based this size on undescribed remains ? He told me he based his Spinosaurus size based on a massive snout in private collection.
The perspective can be misleading too...
Without being rigorous, size estimates in the franchise have never been too much over-sized or godzillaized. So I m not sure about that.
Hopefully the movie will tell more, the official size of the beast listed and Horner will respond to the questions about that.

Wow! Grey posted the video just 21 hours ago and the video has almost 12 million views! Looks like the movie (unlike what I feared) gets the attention it deserves.

Horner just responded me about the mosasaur size.
"Yes, that is about the maximum size we know from fossils, and then we can always overestimate a little just because we know we haven't going the largest one that ever lived."
