I just never noticed anything wrong with the edit option, try editing the post above, let's see if others can see the edit and if you can as well.

Staff can check the security log, it shows when edits where made and how many times, but the edits themselves cannot be seen. I must note that certain staff can't see the security log, I don't know about this forum though.

Same, it'd be pretty cool. But sadly the closest we have to this is the security log, which only staff with power can see, and as I said it only shows how many edits, by who, and which post was edited, the security log shows many other things as well.

I wouldn't like this, especially because there is surely a lot of deleted crap where people don't want it to be seen.

Yeah, but I'd say that the feature would be good to the extent that the user can view only his edits.
