Yeah, so? There are people putting their dogs or even cats on a vegan diet, doesn’t mean they evolved to eat plants. Haven't pet dogs and cats been known to die from that? I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised, for cats definitely. It's a disgusting hypocrisy, on the one hand they want to own a carnivorous animal, on the other hand they think it is wrong to give it meat. If you are not willing to feed your pet appropriately, then don't get a pet in the first place. |

That seems rather unbelievable, considering how all other extant hominids are overwhelmingly herbivorous. Sure, humans are more carnivorous than them, but to say that they are more carnivorous than herbivorous sounds like a stretch. not really because our digestive enzymes are more simalir to dogs , cats and bears than to horses and sheeps |

Our digestive enzymes probably are not. Vertebrates cannot produce the enzymes necessary to digest cellulose, not even ruminants can. Gut morphology reflects the need for more or less space allocated to microbial fermentation.

i just want to say that i am not against going vegan or anything of that nature , however i always hear vegans saying something like this ´we are herbivores because out instestine lengeth is the same as elephants which are also herbivores´ this statement is wrong for a few reasons for one other omnivores like monkeys and bears have the same instestine lengeth and bears intestines are even longer than humans and they are omnivores so intestine length does not always tell if you are a herbivore , carnivore or omnivore as i said before bears have a longer intestine length are they are omnivores so our digestive system is more simlair to omnivores like chimps and bears than to herbivores like cows and horses , also something else i here is that humans must be herbivores because we do not have sharp claws like omnivores and carnivores like bears or lions , this is false for a few reasons , pigs and monkeys are omnivores and do not have sharp claws   also we never needed large sharp teeth because we have our hands to rip apart meat , like for instance in this video a babbon is ripping apart a antelope with its hands www.youtube.com/watch?v=2du5u_nEGwgas you can see sharp claws is not needed for eating meat , also other carnivores like frogs , salamanders , newts , whales and dolphins do not have sharp claws or any claws/hands at all and all of these animals are carnivores, also i hear people say ´we must be herbivores because we do not have sharp teeth´ , again this is false because whales have very soft bristles and they are carnivores and will only eat meat .  also i hear people say that we must be herbivores because we do not have digestive enzymes to eat raw meat , again this is false , humans can eat raw meat for instance we eat raw sushi , raw beef and raw pork and we are just fine doing so , humans have even eaten dead bodies of other humans and have been just fine , so yes our digestive system can digest raw meat it is just that we prefer to cook meat insted of eating it raw. and the final thing i always hear people say ´we do not have killer insticnts like lions and wolves do´ this is a not true as many omnivores do not have the insticnt to kill like pigs for example pigs will just eat any meat that comes to them and will even eat dead bodies of humans but they will rarley attack or kill humans to eat them. also humans do have the drive to kill as there are many mass murders , also herbivores do have the drive to kill as well , hippos have the highest death rate in africa.  thanks for reading and have a good day |

humans are omnivores , also the myth that meat is unhealthy has too stop , a study shows that 85% of vegans are b12 difficent . the best evidance for humans being omnivores is our teeth , we have four sharp canines like carnivores and flat teeth like herbivores , humans also have a intestine lengeth 13 times their own body lengeth for digesting plants and a ph level of 1.5-3.5 for eating and digesting cooked and raw meat , we also have foward facing eyes like predators and have a good restitance for smelling raw meat , also if you mean herbivore that is wrong because herbivore means herb , if you mean frugivore most frugivores are omnivores like chimpanzees and monkeys but no humans are not frugivores either .  |
