I think the right wording would be "psychologically traumatic content". coherentsheaf: That probably applies to every palaeoartist. I’ve literally got hundreds of pictures that would qualify (but I won’t post it here, too embarrassing and I’d rather not flood the internet with it…).

I haven’t given proper attention to them, but isn’t him being such a good paleoartist who does not produce work that is easily recognizable as bad part of the problem? Its mostly his odd identifications based on fishy photo-analysis and the resulting phylogenies, but I couldn’t say whether all artwork based on his skeletals would necessarily be flawed.

There is exactly one thing in that drawing that could be associated with Dilophosaurus. The rest looks like a generic tetanuran with bunny-hands and without nostrils.

The good thing is that you don't see details as long as it is a small profile picture of Palaeosaurus.
