Oh btw, this is in the Evolution vs Creationism section because: 1. One of the main themes of this story is how humans will blindly follow traditions no matter how irrational and immortal they may seem if one thinks about them rationally. 2. "Lottery in June, Corn be heavy soon". A claimed correlation based on no actual evidence but superstition. Many traditionalists will use this to justify their - often brutal - beliefs. 3. Believe it or not, honor killings is still something which goes on in the world today, in 2014. www.ibtimes.com/three-pakistanis-slain-honor-killings-marriage-decisions-1614810

Oh, honor killings. I remember having mention them shortly when talking about feminism ( theworldofanimals.proboards.com/thread/846/man-supporter?page=3&scrollTo=16806 ). But honestly, I don't believe honor killings are nowadays a traditions. Rather a way how these salafist ****** show their hate towards people where they think (keyword: think, not know) they sinned. A terrible thing is that this even happens in developed countries and not just in Africa and the Middle East.

Just shows how developed countries aren't as perfect as some think they are.

I know, but it may be shocking to people who think "primitive" rituals are restricted to Africa and Asia. My comment was basically an addition to what Vodmeister said about it still happening in 2014. BTW, I edited my comment a little bit.
