No matter what people say it might cause, gay marriage has done never done any harm to anyone except religious morals that should stay in their place.

It's the support of regular people, of course I am for LGBT rights! There is no such thing as trans. Either you have a Y chromosome or you don't, it's not something you get to choose and no amount of genital surgery or hormone therapy will change that. That being said I have no issue with people actually going about the change and I have no issue with who they choose to sleep with after. I just will not recognize them as separate group. |

As for the Roman Empire, afaik, it has allowed homosexuality has persisted there since the beginning (it already existed in Ancient Greece) and yet it persisted quite long. Of course it fell, but well, that's usually what happens once an empire becomes too large. As for the part on sexually transmitted diseases, this is undeniable, but most countries already prohibit gays from donating blood, so the harm caused to society is mitigated. Unfortunately, I cannot discuss much on heath, since an article I wanted to post on the subject ( www.patheos.com/blogs/hallq/2012/09/william-lane-craigs-promotion-of-anti-gay-pseudoscience/ ) is offline. Also: (Your first link even said something similar, just read the section "Prevention Challenges") BTW, your last link raises many red flags. Animals of various species engage in homosexual behaviors, many of which serve a real fundamental purpose, Albatross will readily form same sex pairs if one mate dies in order to ensure the chick's survival, Bonobos have inter sex relations frequently, it's a form of bonding and helps reduce tension in the troop, which by extension reduces stress and the need for physical conflict. But examples in the wild really shouldn't matter, some people are attracted to the same gender, what's wrong with that? I mean if homosexuality happens in the wild, why not just legalize incest, necrophilia, bestiality, pedophilia? That happens in the wild too. I don’t really have much of an opinion at this point, I don’t support or against it. |
