Sometimes I think humans are underrated, but this was priceless!

I don't really find this surprising, I believe human stupidity knows pretty much no bounds.

Yes, that’s almost a scientific principle. Nevertheless, it has to be pointed out that that’s plain dangerous. Imagine someone reads that and believes it, and then tries to punch a tiger in the jaw! There wouldn’t be a lot left of that person…

There are humans that can withstand a blow to the jaw and take it with stride. I just find it hilarious that someone thinks that a 400 to 500 lb animal can be harmed by human fists! It was so illogical that when I read that, I just died laughing.

On the other hand, there probably are exceptional humans out there who could probably take on a lion or tiger, but its tough to imagine. I keep seeing Hercules and Samson from the bible. They would wrestle them and attempt to strangle them just how they were depicted in the books.

^And those are called mythology for a reason, they never actually existed.
Any human victory in a head-on fight with a tiger without weapons can only be considered the unlikeliest of flukes.

Samson is debatable (bible debate) but yes, Hercules is a myth, but I really do think that myth or not, they possibly originated from rare events. There is an account of a man supposedly beating a lion too death in a fight that lasted an hour before he was killed by hyenas. Not sure if its reliable though. Take a look. bigcatrescue.org/man-kills-lion-hyenas-kill-man/Even though these are rare, if a lion or tiger is to be killed by a man bare handed, I'm going to assume the lion or tiger was already severely injured and looking for food and chose an unusually strong person, or a lion or tiger that was very old and it's teeth are likely not able to pierce normal prey very well, along with their claws. However if the lion or tiger was a healthy adult, I can't even see 10 men winning in a fight against one. Heck not even 15!

I don't really find this surprising, I believe human stupidity knows pretty much no bounds. My time on Carnivora has taught me this well.

Without trying to attack you, but some of the critique the carnivora members express is valid.

I viewed some threads on carnivora. Some people there think a 40 lb wolverine would decimate an average man with no issue whatsoever. Same thing with clouded leopards and lynxes.
One thing I've notice is that people there will make their posts long as an effort to "wear down" their opponent. They make it as long as possible so that their opponent won't even bother trying to point out errors or disprove their positions. I've seen posts there that I am confident I can debunk in less than a few sentences.

And some people have a few sentences in reaction to every sentence in such a comment… Whatever, long posts make sense. After all, you don't just have to wear down your opponent, but the non-commenting readers have to be impressed by your knowledge.

Long posts do not always make sense. I recently read a long post from a user from carnivora that thinks that a bobcat can kill a fully grown wolf more often than not, and made it rather long to read. The same user also thinks that a bobcat could kill a fit human, along with a lynx as well!
But anyways, I noticed that most people in general from my experiences, tend to know a very small amount of animals. The most overrated animal in my experience was the Gorilla. Both of my grandpas think that a gorilla could kill a grizzly bear by breaking open its jaw. Same with a lion, tiger, and even a crocodile!
I know for a fact that Vodmeister has seen this crap before. People making hilarious match ups like the stupid Grizzly bear vs Gorilla debate. Everyone keeps saying how the gorilla will throw punches like a skilled human fighter, will grab the bear's snout, and choke the bear out. They even have match ups of gorilla vs Polar bear!!!!
Sometimes I miss being ignorant, because when you know your animals and what they can do, and you hear nonsense, its too painful to let that go, or too funny.

I know that they are not really nice, but his hate against America and Germany is not particularly nice either. And saying whites can be racist while blacks can't is unfortunately racist.
