This is a thread for discussing the technical issues surrounding size comparisons. For easy reference, I have made a post→ on the basics thread explaining, for absolute beginners, how to make a simple, but accurate size comparison. Since despite this, wrongly scaled comparisons keep being posted, I decided to introduce some rules to the size comparison thread pertaining to the technical quality of comparisons, and move comparisons that do not adhere to them here, in a manner mimicking wikimedia’s cleanup projects. Additionally, we can use this thread to discuss any technical issues or questions that may crop up, including about uploading the files. dinosauria101 Do you have some kind of problem with the software? Is there any reason to upload the image, then make a screenshot of it, then delete the image, and then upload the screenshot?

Well, I'm just having a significantly easier time using the screenshot method. I did enlarge the resolution though.

It's not exactly easy to import ANYTHING from ANYWHERE out of Word Online, is my experience.
At least I can enlarge the resolutions.

What "screenshot method"? You already uploaded the file, I can literally see the urls in your screenshots! What exactly would make it "easier" for you to you upload a perfectly serviceable file, then open the uploaded version, make a screenshot of it, delete the original, and reupload the screenshotted version then to just do the first and skip all the other steps? This is not criticism, I’m just genuinely curious to understand why someone would ever do something like that.

I thought 'files' were scaled and cropped images. Whoops.

Bucky vs MUCPv-Ch1, the side of the T rex vs Giganotosaurus debate that T rex fanboys don't look on, preferring to use the holotype, Stan, or Sue, which are all above average and even maximum. Yet this is a perfectly valid way to look at it like broly said. Both skeletals by Hartman; Bucky is based on AMNH 5027 I recommend ignoring the scalebars as AMNH was rescaled to match Bucky's dimensions (10 meters, downscaled from 11.8)

Going by the T. rex scalebar the Giganotosaurus is roughly 17 m long in this comparison and going by the Giganotosaurus scalebar the man would be 1.25m tall...

It's very misleading to leave the humans in for scale then.

Well, I DID say AMNH 5027 had been scaled down

I just rescaled AMNH 5027 to match Bucky's size How exactly? Be specific about what sizes you are scaling your stuff to. Alright, then. If I'm not scaling to the scalebar I'll provide the specific dimensions or state the scalebar is to be ignored

I did. I said to ignore the scalebars as the animals had been differently scaled.

I asked for, and you claimed you would add, what exact dimensions you scaled it to…
