Clear proof confirming that Amur tigers DOMINATE bears in the Russian far east
This video also clearly shows that even the bears regard the tiger as a major predator of them, which explains their innate fear of tigers.
Hunter J Alain Smith travels to the Russian far east to hunt some bears, and after a tiger sighting in the area, the next day he is told by the Russian forest rangers, that they have to leave the area, because with a tiger lurking in the vicinity, the bears won't come out...because all of the bears are scared of the tigers.
Go to the 13:18 mark:
Note - Alain Smith was told by actual Russian forest rangers - who have lived in the Ussuri taiga area their whole life and work in the forest - and these authorities told him that the bears are AFRAID of the tigers! This clearly proves that the Amur tiger reigns supreme over bears and completely rules and owns the Russian taiga.

Tigress kills adult male Black bear By Russian hunter/explorer - V. Sysoev
And when the subtle sense of smell of the tigress caught the smell of the white-breasted bear, she stopped: the Himalayan bears were always the favorite food of her relatives. First, Rigma examined the terrain and soon came to the conclusion that the bear, not finding a suitable hollow, climbed under the roots of a linden tree that grew on a steep slope, and then settled for the winter. Approaching the linden, Rigma decided to master the dormouse. But how to do that? When, expanding Laz, she tried to pull the bear out, she faced its grinning fangs and long claws. The narrow entrance did not allow her to enter the den; it was impossible to extract the pawed and desperately biting “master”...
Then Rigma went to the trick. She burrowed under the roots from the side opposite the entrance to the den, and, putting her paw into the hole, grabbed the bear by the buttock and pulled out a piece of leather with black wool. With a roar, a bear turned in a den. No matter how he dodged, at least some vulnerable part of his body could be seen in one of the holes, and the tigress deftly used this. Unable to hide, the clumsy one decided to flee, but only he stuck his head and shoulders out of the den, as Rigma grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and bit him. Then she dragged the limp body of the bear from the shelter and, pulling it to the side, proceeded to dinner."

Tigress feeding on her adult sloth bear kill:
In India’s jungles tigers sometimes kill sloth bears. And eat them for breakfast – and lunch and dinner if there’s anything left over! Although the shaggy sloth bear, one of four species of bears found in India, has a fearsome reputation for unprovoked aggression, Baloo is obviously no match for Shere Khan. Bear hair in tiger scat is not an unusual sight in forests where the two species co-exist. My friend, Dr. K. Yoganand, a wildlife biologist who studied sloth bears in Panna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, not only witnessed many aggressive encounters between bears and tigers, he even photographed a tiger feeding on a fresh sloth bear kill. Obviously there is little love lost between the two species, which makes the incident I’m about to narrate rather unique."..
THE FIGHT:
As we watch in disbelief, it is followed by an obviously agitated sloth bear that begins charging towards the predator. The big cat turns around, and we brace ourselves for a horrendous battle resulting in one very dead bear. Instead, confounding our belief, and standing conventional wisdom on its head, the tiger calmly flops down and contemplates the bear with complete equanimity!"..

Amur tiger kills three Himalayan black bears Account of an Amur tiger named 'Vladik' who traveled 400 miles back to a Russian city, and during his journey, he killed and ate 3 Himalayan black bears:"Dubbed “Vladik” after a nickname for this port city of 600,000 near Russia's borders with China and North Korea, the tiger came near the village of Yasnoye near Vladivostok airport this week. Scientists have followed him via a GPS collar since he was released in Bikin national park after his capture last year. On the long trip back, Vladik crossed the Trans-Siberian railroad and killed and ate three Himalayan black bears.www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/11/02/feared-tiger-crosses-400-miles-return-russian-city/Juvenile tiger kills and eats two BearsA tiger released into the wild in Russia's Far East by President Vladimir Putin himself has killed and eaten a bear, the Interfax news agency reported Tuesday.Boris the tiger's culinary triumph was discovered by staff at the national park in the Amur region where the tiger resides, the park's deputy director for science, Vyacheslav Kastrikin, was cited as saying.“There wasn't much left of Boris' feast by the time we got to his hunting ground, so it's hard to say whether it was a brown bear or an Asian black bear,” Kastrikin said.It was not the first time the big cat had vanquished an ursine rival: Boris killed a 3-year-old bear last August, Interfax reported.www.themoscowtimes.com/2015/07/14/putins-tiger-kills-bear-a48137hab.mk.ru/articles/2014/09/09/tigr-putina-sel-v-lesu-priamurya-medvedya.html

From Russian biologist - A.A Sludskii It was noted that the tiger copes with the bear sometimes larger than himself. Having tracked him, the tiger ambushes on a rock or in a windbreak from the leeward side. He rushes at the approaching bear from above, grabs one claw by the claws by the chin, the other by the throat and bites the vertebrae. Bears are usually afraid of tigers and having met their tracks, hastily run away to the side. Faced with this predator, the bear tries to escape from it by climbing a tree (Baykov, 1925).

More references from Russian authorities/biologists on tiger predation on Brown bears:
As Matjushkin (1992) found out, a tiger usually catches those ungulates that are more numerous on its site. Not only bull deer, but even large bears and male boars are physically accessible to an adult male.
"NUTRITION OF LARGE PREDATORS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE TIGER): METHODOLOGICAL ANALYSIS" - V.G. Udin
All researchers who had to examine the tiger victims indicate one cause of death - the destruction of the cervical calls at the base of the skull. In this manner, the predator kills even a large bear.
