What do you think are the most intelligent animals on the planet?
List is somewhat subjective, as we can't measure intelligence in a teacup, but obviously there is still evidence out there to prove, objectively, that some animals are more intelligent than others.
Here's my top 10 list, feel free to post yours.
1. Dolphins 2. Whales 3. Crows & Ravens 4. Great Apes 5. Parrots & Budgies 6. Elephants 7. Bears 8. Monkeys 9. Octopus & Squid 10. Rats, Sheep, and Wolves.
#10 was really hard, there we have three very intelligent mammals in their own right, so I made it a three-way tie until I am convinced enough to place one animal above the others.

What do you think are the most intelligent animals on the planet? Among measured intelligence levels, humans and kin, and cetaceans, as well as some birds.
Here is my list: - Therapsids and Dinosaurs
- Pterosaurians?
- Pseudosuchians
- Lizards
- Sharks
- Basal Sarcoptergyii
- Early Vertebrates
- Octopodes
- Squids
- Pancrustaceans?
I covered the entire scale. Going into species and genus levels in the list is just chauvinism, nothing more.

I think the most intelligent extant animal taxa are Delphinidae, Corvus and Hominidae. They (with the probable exception of humans) are too close in terms of their mental capacity to rank them.
There are many animals (eg. octopoda, sepiida, elephantidae, rodentia, carnivora, selachii, varanidae and even crocodylia) that can show surprising amounts of intelligence of some kind, but they are often really hard to compare due to very distant relationships.

I don't see your problem. Why is your list less chauvinistic then? It says that some quite big taxa like therapsids and dinosaurs are generally more intelligent than others. It's just a larger scale. I won't make a top-10 list. On the one hand for same reason as broly I think (Chauvinism), on the other hand because it's quite difficult for me to make a well reasonable ranking. Nevertheless would I put Homo sapiens on the first rank, followed by different Odontoceti and other Hominids. Apart from that the classics: ravens, parrots, elephants, cats, cephalopods, rodents, but even some Teleostei or some arthropods.

At this scale, no single species or genus is glorified. As in, you won't see a single one above all the others in the large-scale list.

Bears too are, so I think they should be included in that list.

Read about the intelligence of a Budgie: Puck, a male budgerigar owned by American Camille Jordan, holds the world record for the largest vocabulary of any bird, at 1,728 words. Puck died in 1994, with the record first appearing in the 1995 edition of Guinness World Records. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budgerigar#MimicryI don't think Budgies get enough credit for their incredible intelligence and memory! Also, read about Alex the Parrot. His English was so fluent that he could regularly talk to people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_(parrot)Alex's last words to Pepperberg were: "You be good, see you tomorrow. I love you." These were the same words that he would say every night when Pepperberg left the lab. Some Budgies and Parrots have a greater vocabulary and speaking ability than half of the North Americans today.
