I'm looking very forward to Jurassic World (it's the official title). Back then in elementary school my friends and I heard the rumors about a fourth Jurassic Park (and Titanic 2...which actually exists, but it's just a B-movie ) and now after ca. ten years things get finally serious . @giganoto, Carcharo: I would like to see a Carcharodontosaurid in JW, but I'm also agreeing with Grey that this isn't very likely. I also read T.rex will be again the big guy. Another predators will probably be the marine reptiles (I guess Tylosaurus like in the game), the raptors and this new dinosaur. @carnotaurus: If it's really depicted as a big and fast predator, it would be really cool. Spielberg used it also in Terra Nova (but I hope JW will be better...). Another contestant could be Allosaurus. There is at least a toy of it: Link

JW artworks that seem to be official but are perhaps 1 or 2 years old so maybe not up to date. If this is still valid, the last one is certainly not a T. rex. Fans of others famous theropods will be happy.

This reminds Allosaurus. It doesn't look like Giganotosaurus or Carnotaurus

Yes, it looks like an Allosaurus. Perhaps they needed something to replace their naked dromeosaurs because nowadays they would just make the audiences laugh, and tought "Well, our Velociraptors are closer in size to Allosaurus anyway..." But would they show a really big allosaurid, that would also be cool.

Two pages of the Jurassic World script. SPOILERS INSIDE. Red eyes. So far, no predator in the franchise has red eyes. Based on the lines of this character Hamada, that's most likely IMO the new predator that Horner said it will be terrifying. And remembering that the first rumored story months ago was that a new species especially dangerous wreaking havoc on the island, at some point that the authorities of the park have to release more gentle "domesticated" species such as T. rex, I'm thinking the new will be necessarily Carnotaurus, but more likely a predator the same size than T. rex but more agressive, possibly then a carcharodontosaurid. I don't think that Carnotaurus, either the novel's version (chameleon-like) or the real version (fast running), are the animal that is suspected to devastate the park.

I vote Ceratosaurus, about the most evil looking theropod out there.

Given that Jurassic Park has mostly been about dinosaurs like Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Spinosaurus - I often wonder why they didn't call it Cretaceous Park instead.

Yup. The original JP had just two dinosaurs from the Jurassic (Brachiosaurus and Dilophosaurus), but at least twice that much from the Cretaceous. But Jurassic appears to have been a more pleasant name... Grey: I’m agreed. Carnotaurus would be cool, but it doesn’t seem formidable enough for the role if those rumours are even close to true. The version the lost world was somewhat far-fetched regaridng the real animal, but not really all that terrifying, rather fascinating.

I’d also rather expect another giant theropod from the film franchise.
A carcharodontosaurid is a good guess (they might still introduce Allosaurus anyway, but they were never so much into the whole anatomical-accuracy thing so it’s possible that head in the pic belongs to a carcharodontosaur.).
Some very violent slasher-type animal, and perhaps a pack hunter, would seem apropriate (although it’s more likely for T. rex to hunt in packs actually).

I wonder how it would be if they introduced a dinosaur which is quite hyped in the dinosaur scene (like Siats), but not outside of it.

The scene with the Carnotaurus in the novel was rather intense, though a bit short. Anyway, the novel version or real version are not enough for such a threatening beast behind these red eyes. Some allosaurids or carcharodontosaurids are plausible. Don't forget that Allosaurus has during a long time been the another typical carnivorous antagonist in the dinos films during most of the movies of the last centuries along with T. rex.
Nw, Trevorrow has stated that T. rex will be ruled out like in JP3, but would be good that they put to it the latest discoveries about it (increased bite force) as well as introducing new dangerous species.
Horner also stated the dinosaurs will have more colors (though they had already in JP3).

My bets are actually on Troodon, however they're eyes were yellow in Jurassic Park: The Game Okay, they look really weird, but why I'm complaining?

But if it was a small-bodied predator, I'd expect several individuals. In the script there's only one apparently. So more likely a big beast.
