www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVl3BJoEoAUThe video itself is 3 hours long, so I don't expect anyone to actually watch it all. However, from what I have heard, and the few bits and pieces I've seen, it's very good. They skin over various topics including: religion, freedom of expression, violence, etc...

Honestly, while Islam has a long way to go, not all Muslims are as terrible as many YouTubers think. I remember many discussions with islamophobic YouTubers. It is really hard to take people seriously who call Muslims sand-niggers…

I understand the history, if you are referring to the Irish Republic Army. This is today, and you are going off topic. Besides, are the terrorists only targeting Catholics? Are you making excuses for them? Why are the Muslims killing anyone who is not Muslim? Why are you defending them? The IRA were Irish Catholics and they targeted Irish protestants but no one expected Catholics everywhere to have a public outcry against the IRA but you expect all Muslims to publicly and loudly denounce some radicals of their faith, it's a double standard. My point just went over your head. You know nothing about Muslims, you're just an ignorant xenophobe. |

The main difference between Muslims and Christians today is that Muslims tend to take their holy book (on average) more seriously, which is the main reason to why Islamic countries are usually more violent than Christian countries. On the flip side, a few centuries ago, back when Christians were every bit as dogmatic about their religion as Muslims are today, the Western world certainly wasn't as civilized as it is in 2014 either.
I'm not going to make any judgements about either the Bible nor the Qur'an, one isn't "worse" than the other, for as far as I can tell.

For myself, it's not about religion; it's about those people still living in the Dark Ages murdering in the name of their god. No matter what god a person worships; murder is murder. Treating women as a life-form lower than a human is wrong. If Christians were out there now, cutting off people's heads in the name of Jehovah or Jesus; I would be speaking out loudly in protest. Dragon says: The IRA were Irish Catholics and they targeted Irish protestants... ( in the past ).
So, that makes chopping off peoples heads, killing masses of people with bombs, and cruelty to their own women alright? And how do Muslims fit into your story?

Also why don't you look up female genital mutilation, something that occurs throughout northern Africa regardless of religion. Muslims don't fit into my story, I don't have a problem with Muslims my problem is with your double standard. |

Can we just agree that dogmatic following of religion is the real problem behind all the violence that occurs in Islamic countries? Whether or not the Muslim community as a whole should have the moral obligation to condemn the actions of the extremists of their religion is a whole other debate/Philosophical discussion, and relies heavily on personal beliefs and opinions.
Side note: it should be noted that not all crimes committed by a person would necessarily be reflective of their religion. For instance, if a Muslim robs a liquor store, then it's fairly obvious that this is the individual's personal problems, and has obviously no link to Islam. On the other hand, if a Muslim kills a gay person merely for being homosexual, then it probably is a religious problem.

I believe that I have said what I am before (a spiritualist). Just my personal beliefs, but you know, this is kinda hard to talk about. I mean, to an extent, religion is a virus when used incorrectly. It's funny because I think that leaders who use their evil actions in the name of their gods, are every bit as religious as an atheist. They are simply putting as mask over themselves. It's nothing different what Hitler did. I believe he said he was religious so that people would follow him (since people don't follow atheists as leaders), and went on with his plans.
All of these radicals are no more than power hungry frauds trying to spread their influence, and hurt others. They are no more than gangbangers in my personal opinion. All this "I DO IT FOR ALLAH" or "GOD TOLD ME TO" or whatever. You're not a believer of god. You're a fraud, and if you do believe in god, then you should know you're doing the work of what you call the devil, and that makes you a complete utter hypocrite.
