saying the hippo would win because he is fatter is a little ridicluous reason by its self . the cougar is a carnivore and would have experince fighting large animals like packs of wolves , jaguars and grizzly bears . pygmy hippo has no fighting experince and would be at a disadvatnge fighting something that can take down something twice its own weight like a bull moose. No, that isn't what I'm saying. I'm saying the pygmy hippo would win because it is robust, durable, over 3 times bigger, and very well-armed. Heck, even a same-sized pygmy hippo would have a very good chance. Also, mountain lions have no experience with pygmy hippos, who have experience with similar leopards. Not to mention a moose and a hippo have very little in common. weight is not a problem as i said before cougars can take down a moose that weighs 1,000 which far out weighs a pygmy hippo . it being more robust , i do not think so , a cougar would be more robust it being more durable , i will not aruge with that , however it being bigger is a streatch , i doubt it is larger in terms of size and as for weapons the cougar is vastly surperior he has his sharp claws and jaws .

Besides, deer aren't exactly the most combative, and they don't try and kill attackers, so that's a very bad representation here. 2: How is the pygmy hippo less robust? They are literally built like tanks 3: How is the pygmy hippo not bigger? It weighs over 3 times as much! 4: I could reiterate here by saying the hippo's jaws are superior to everything the mountain lion has as they can kill with 1 bite

The pygmy hippo has the weight advantage it needs 4: No, the hippo has far better weapons. Its jaws are far superior All that said, I'm sort of tired. May we continue tomorrow?

We went over this. Visual size is irrelevant here 2: No, the pygmy hippo is more muscular. It means more muscle in the same or lesser area, and that applies to the pygmy hippo 3: It may not, but weight is the relevant factor here. Visual size is irrelevant 4: No, the pygmy hippo's larger. Moreover, it can easily shake off the mountain lion, would be durable enough to survive lots of punishment, and each bite would be devastating

That would be its downfall

That would be its downfall on the filip side the hippo would not know to avoid the cougars claws . plus i think it would as they are intellegent enough to avoid being bitten by american alligators in the wild 2; i did not say the hippo was fat i said most of its body is made of fat 3;no the hippo is mostly bulk not muscle

Moreover, the claws pale in comparison to the jaws, and intelligence is moot. We have went over this. 2: They've got a fair amount of muscle, and even at parity the hippo has a good chance 3: Bulk and muscle cannot be differentiated like you said. Bulk is more muscle in an area
