most match ups between small lizards like this have a fairly obvious outcome but I find this one interesting. While the leopard lizard does get slightly larger and is considered a lizard eating specialist, the male collared lizard is in many ways a lizard fighting specialist, with a combative nature and a powerful bite that is not dependent on size so even a larger leopard could have a weaker and less formidable bite.

I will try to post here. I don't know so much about both, but judging from what you wrote, the collared lizard may have the advantage.

Dont worry about it, this isnt the kinda thing most of you guys are into. Leopard lizards are still, lizard eating specialist, they have several behavior adaptations that aid in there killing of smaller lizards that include the use of there front legs, something collared lizards dont do.

I mean how would you not favor a lizard eating specialist over another lizard. The collard lizard must be a warrior lol. Would've posted sooner but I didn't see this thread.

Would've posted sooner but I didn't see this thread. if its any indication as how much of a difference the males intraspefic conflict adaptations makes, I would not favour a female collared lizard for a second, I would treat her like she is already dead as soon as the fight started. Bite force is a more accurate predictor of male territory size and breeding success than body mass. Males loose toes, lips, tails and even lives in fights. These guys are warriors, if they werent I wouldnt have put them up against the leopard lizard.

I always side with offensive tactics so I'd back the leopard lizard. Would probably lose a couple limbs tho.

There fights arnt always so violent but when no ones backs down it gets messy. Its also worth noting these lizard are both very athletic.

Id like to point out that I still havent made up my mind about this yet and im just pointing out the advantages of the collared lizard because the video i provided for them doesnt do them justice while the lepard lizard one is of good quality and is a good display of there abilities.

I'd still side with the leopard lizard tho is it just me or would this fight seem adorable to anyone else?

I don't see how that would alter the match honestly.
