One thing that I was wondering, do tigers have on average, higher body fat than lions? I don't remember ever seen a photo of huge tiger that doesn't have a flabby belly.
btw why is this match in the sympatric section?

Because some people apparently believe coexistence on species level counts, even if you match up two particular subspecies that don’t coexist. It’s the same logic after which T. rex vs Giganotosaurus is sympatric, because there are allosauroids that coexisted with tyrannosauroids.

btw why is this match in the sympatric section? I honestly don't know. I thought I already moved the matchups where they belong, but whatever.

You revived this thread just to say that?
Currently I still hold the opinion that this fight, at equal weights, would be something like 50/50. The lion and tiger to me are extremely, almost the same, animals with the same weapons, grappling forelimbs, etc., etc.

You revived this thread just to say that? He revives lots of threads. But most of the time it's to give his opinion of the matchup.

Sure, but a sizeable minority of his revivals includes responses to year-old comments.

Like saying something such as "You clearly haven't." in response to "I thought I already moved the matchups where they belong, but whatever."? Don't get me wrong, I really don't think it's that big a deal, but still.

The most even matchup of ll time. Sometimes the lion would win, and sometimes the tiger would win. It's as simple as that.

My take on lion vs tiger is this: i will let a well known animal trainer talk...

In the wild, a tiger would not likely go head-to-head against a lion ( IMHO ).
