Even at size parity chimps 'only' have two times the strength of a human who is not trained in strength sports. So I highly doubt an orangutan would be 3-4 times stronger than a human of equal mass (unless you compare a 90kg orangutan to an untrained 62kg man which seems to be the global average).

I was banned from carnivora back in 2012 after trying to advertise another site on there. I was also a lot younger and naive and shouldn't have done that, but from what I've heard from many people, Taipan is a corrupt site owner and is "Ban Happy." As for this fight being closer, I'd say a wolverine. Also, do you happen to be on other sites like "Animalia Enthusiasts"? Might make that thread as a request of your's soon enough.

Nope I'm not there either.

Honestly chimps may not be necessarily 2-3 times stronger. Chimps just have a different nervous system and different muscle fibers. Their muscles respond with either all or nothing. If humans responded with all muscle fibers, we would rip the muscles from our bones. In other words, they are able to use a massive amount of power that their muscles allow. What surprises me is how their muscles don't tear since they use a load of force. I didn't think any animal can tap into 100% of their strength without damaging themselves in the process.

That is why I said 'of a human who is not trained in strength sports'. Untrained humans usually have a very bad neuronal "access" to their muscles, their nervous systems can only activate a small portion of the force the muscles would be able to produce based on their size. Some top athletes achieve a near 100% activation and sometimes their muscles actually tear, as you said.

Humans are more coordinated with their blows for the most part. You can kill by flailing with fists until enough damage is done, but a coordinated well placed strike is more effective. In any case, I severely doubt a Clouded Leopard could kill a fully grown Orangutan. Being 3-4 times stronger than a man, it's blow would likely cause so much damage on the cat that it couldn't continue. Just asking, might you have been Anthropophagi on Carnivoraforum? Or did you use the same name as you do here and on Yuku, also what year were you on Carnivoraforum?

Like I said I foolishly advertised another site on carnivora and got banned on the spot.

The human can win this, but with difficulty

I favor the cat, due to its explosive strength and far better weapons

I favor the cat, due to its explosive strength and far better weapons It indeed has better weapons due to its physiology but this cat is way too small. If the cat tried to grapple the human, it's likely just going to get crushed. Not being arrogant but I know for a fact that I could stomp this cat too death if not simply just bash in its head or snap its neck. It's pure overwhelming strength and weight against a small predator. The only time I see this cat winning is if it's against a child or a handicapped person. A cat of this size would not ever choose to prey on a human in the first place. Simply too risky. Sure one could throw in the panic factor, but even when panicking, humans can dish out some serious damage when under that surge of adrenaline. The cat may get punched or kicked and have a rib broken or a limb disabled. In the end, I truly think the human is just too large, and unless the person is outright pathetic physically or small themselves, the cat gets stomped.

I was thinking about myself when I posted that. But other people could very well win.
